Here at GXO, we don’t just move goods – we engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains. We’re looking for an experienced Health and Safety  Manager to take ownership of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards at our large, multi‑user Ollerton distribution centre.

 

This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll work closely with the General Manager and site leadership team to drive compliance, continuous improvement and a positive safety culture across a 24/7 operation.

 

This is a full time permanent position, working Monday – Friday 9:00 to 17:00 but flexibility is essential

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

·  Lead and embed a strong QHSE culture across a large, shared‑user distribution site

·  Act as the trusted QHSE adviser to the site leadership team, ensuring legal and GXO compliance

·  Drive continuous improvement through audits, incident analysis and robust action plans

·  Deliver QHSE training, awareness and Behavioural Safety programmes

·  Liaise with enforcing authorities and support new business implementations where required

 

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

·  NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and experience in a QHSE/H&S management role

·  Strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation within logistics or warehousing

·  Confident communicator with the ability to influence, coach and challenge

·  Experience producing clear reports, KPIs and trend analysis
