Automation Maintenance Engineer

We are on the lookout for an Automation Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team based at our site in Crick. You’ll carry out preventative and corrective maintenance of site automation technology, ensuring alignment with contract KPIs and customer requirements.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position working any 5 days out of 7 during the start-up phase, transitioning to a 4 on, 4 off days schedules.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Perform maintenance tasks, including preventative and correct maintenance

  • Ensure all spare equipment is effectively maintained with any required repair works recorded in accordance with asset management processes

  • Root case analysis of automation breakdowns and provide timely repair solutions / corrective actions to ensure minimal disruption to the operation

  • Ensure all engineering activities are completed effectively and efficiently

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Qualified in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering / NVQ Level 3 – or equivalent)

  • Previous experience within a similar environment, working with warehouse automation solutions including Automated Guided Vehicles, conveyors & sorters

  • Experience of working in a complex, fast moving environment

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages
