Here at GXO we have a great opportunity for a Bid Manager to join our business development function. 


Reporting directly to the Head of Bid Management, New Sectors, you will be responding to new and existing customer tender opportunities. This role is focused on supporting the development of new and growing sectors for GXO such as Life Sciences, Industrials and Technology and offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our business whilst furthering your career in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Create compelling customer proposal responses for both public sector and commercial customers
  • Lead the bid management process and create bid plans to ensure submissions are made on time and meet customer specifications
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Effectively collaborate with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to gather necessary information
  • Write and design customer-centric proposals and presentations that articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively
  • Develop win strategies and themes and ensure these are captured within customer propositions
  • Develop sector and industry insight and gather market intelligence to support sales strategy within new and developing areas
  • Work with the wider Bid Management Team to create material for our central bid library (case studies, service / sector overviews etc.)


What you need to succeed at GXO:


  • Strong bid management experience preferably within public sector procurement processes and frameworks
  • Proven success creating compelling customer propositions, preferably within a logistics (3PL) environment and/or a public sector environment 
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills for adept engagement with stakeholders at all levels.  Advanced user of MS Office particularly Word and PowerPoint
  • A positive attitude, proactive and flexible to changes in customer requirements or timelines
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work on multiple complex bids at any one time, with excellent attention to detail
