Engineer support Operative

Here at GXO, we are recruiting for Warehouse Operative Jam Buster to join our Toolstation site based in Northampton on a full-time, permanent basis.

 

You will be working Sunday  Thursday, on a rotational shift pattern, covering the hours of 08:00  16:00 and 15:00  23:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Respond to minor operational stops by following site procedures
  • Work closely with Swisslog, Operations, and Stock & Systems teams to reduce downtime and keep things running smoothly
  • Keep accurate records of any defects during your shift and report them to management
  • Support with tasks like picking, packing, and receiving when automation is down or during quieter periods

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • A basic understanding of automation and a willingness to learn more
  • Great communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong awareness of your surroundings and ability to spot potential hazards
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
