FP&A Manager - CAPEX, Cash flow & Reporting
Are you a qualified accountant who thrives on turning complex financial data into clear insights? Do you enjoy owning key processes that influence strategic decisions? Looking for a role where you can blend FP&A expertise with technology to drive real business impact?
Here at GXO, we’re looking for a highly skilled Senior FP&A Manager to join our central Finance (FP&A) function in Northampton. Reporting to the FP&A Director, you’ll take the lead on critical cash flow and CapEx processes that underpin the financial health and strategic direction of the business.
You’ll also help shape the future of FP&A through advanced analytics, financial modelling and Oracle-driven optimisation, making this a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to combine financial expertise with forward‑looking innovation.
This is a full-time permanent position. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00 with a requirement to be in our Northampton office 3-4 days per week. However, some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £73,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a car allowance of £505 per month, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme and private medical cover.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Own, forecast and analyse regional cash inflows and outflows—improving liquidity and supporting strategic decisions
- Lead end-to-end CapEx planning, partnering with finance leads across the region to align investment with strategic priorities
- Collaborate daily with Controllership, Treasury and senior stakeholders to explain key variances and financial drivers
- Develop, refine and optimise financial models, dashboards and reporting using Oracle and advanced Excel
- Deliver variance analysis, long-term forecasts, scenario modelling and insights for internal audit, governance reviews and leadership requests
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) with strong experience, ideally within FP&A
- Strong, hands-on experience in cash flow forecasting, working capital analysis and CapEx management
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Oracle ERP/EPM systems, essential for this role
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance leaders
- A proactive, collaborative and detail-focused approach with a positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-growing, evolving team
