Human Resources Advisor

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a HR Advisor to join our team in Northampton. As a HR Advisor, you will provide timely, effective and comprehensive support to line managers in all aspects of HR while meeting the immediate and long-term needs of the site and to develop and deliver the HR strategy.

 

This is a full time, 12-month fixed term contract, predominately working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00. Can be flexible on start & finish times

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £32,000.00 per annum, and 28 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, Bootstworks, 24-hour GP service.

 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Manage and support the full range of HR activities within the Employee Lifecycle such as onboarding, promotions and exits.
  • Full HR support for a client group within the Technical Services Division
  • Provide people advisory support to managers and employees on a wide range of people-related topics including employee relations, performance management and other complex people topics.
  • Assist in investigating and resolving people relations issues.
  • Coaching of managers across all levels
  • Managing and supporting HR Systems including Time & Attendance through to Payroll

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • A proven track record as HR advisor working within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, HR policy/practice and employee relations
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong, long-standing working relationships
  • CIPD level 5 qualified or demonstrable working experience
