Internal Auditor

Here at GXO, we are looking for an Internal Auditor, to join our diverse Global team with flexibility to be based in Northampton or London. The mission of the role is to execute audit plans, audit findings and partner with our business to strengthen our internal controls. Key aspects will be assessing design, operating effectiveness and managing/test SOX controls as part of our global compliance program.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, Monday to Friday. The role has flexibility to be based in Northampton or London (with regular travel internationally to support our global business).

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Perform audit activities, including contributing to audit scope, objectives, procedures, and testing
- Document audit work in line with departmental, company, and IIA standards to support findings and recommendations
- Track audit findings, monitor action plans, and manage follow‑up with management to ensure timely resolution
- Apply strong critical‑thinking skills to develop audit programs and conduct procedures in a developing or immature control environment
- Execute SOX control testing while collaborating with IT teams and building effective stakeholder relationships
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven internal auditing experience within a diverse, ever-changing business (Sox testing beneficial)
- Qualified accountant or studying towards (CPA, CIA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
- Excellent stakeholder and colleague working relationship experience, showcasing team-orientation and diligent follow up
- Strong analytical skills, rigorous and ability to summarise well
- Beneficial to have multilingual communication (not essential)
