Payroll Administrator

Here at GXO we are currently seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our central team in Northampton. Our Payroll Administrators support the day-to-day processing of the GXO payroll service. Working within a fast-paced payroll team, you will be a key component in ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service.
This is a permanent role based out of our head office in Northampton, however we’re happy to consider a level of home/flexible working provided you’re able to attend the office as and when required.

We’re looking to offer a salary of £26,500 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Enter payroll information into the ADP Global View payroll system, both manually and using the appropriate SSL loading feature
- Update employee payroll records to include P45s, new starter declarations, tax and NIC data
- Get involved in the resolution of any pay-related queries received either over the phone or through our query ticketing system
- Create various excel spreadsheets with employee data & payment breakdowns along with co-ordinating the printing & posting payslips/P45/P60 documents
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in a similar payroll-focused role – if you have used ADP Global View, this would be a bonus
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and communication
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide a high level of customer service to your internal customers
- Confidence in the use of IT systems, especially Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook
