This is a permanent role based at our Northampton head office which offers the flexibility of hybrid working, with up to three days a week in the office.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £30,000 per annum. In addition, we offer and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Collaborate across Payroll and HR Operations, supporting Team Leads and stepping in during their absence.
  • Review payroll each cycle to identify and resolve errors (e.g., overpayments, zero payments) before final processing
  • Accurately input, update, and maintain payroll data (including employee records, deductions, absences, and statutory payments)
  • Manage queries via SNOW, ensuring timely resolution, clear communication, and prioritisation of high-impact issues
  • Provide payroll support services, including calculations, reporting, payments, documentation (e.g., payslips, P45/P60), and stakeholder engagement with sites

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experienced payroll professional, adaptable team player with initiative; desirable knowledge of ADP GlobalView, SNOW, and working towards or holding CIPP qualification
  • Strong customer service focus with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage workloads in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while meeting SLAs
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and professionalism, with a sound understanding of GDPR and handling sensitive information
  • Numerate and analytical, with intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
