QHSE Advisor

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a QHSE Advisor to join our team in Northampton, supporting our shared user site. You’ll assist the QHSE Manager in making sure that Health and Safety is always at the top of everyone’s agenda. After all, what good is going to work if we can’t come home safely at the end of the day!
This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00. We do require flexibility on some occasions, this is logistics after all.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £36,000.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Support the QHSE Manager in ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental matters are dealt with quickly, efficiently and in line with legislation and best practice
- Ensure adherence to all appropriate health, safety and environment standards in relation to appropriate legislation
- Ensure all details for incidents, accidents, Care Cards and Near Misses are logged fully on Fastworks through training, support and communication of processes to site managers; ensure business
- Review Risk Assessments and Safe System of Work for all tasks carried out within the warehouse
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in an operationally focused, Health and Safety role
- Essential qualification of a NEBOSH General Certificate
- Strong working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislative framework
- The ability to establish strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels along with a results and success-driven approach focusing on identifying and sharing best practice
