Resource Planning Analyst

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Resource Planning Analyst to join our Sainsbury’s contract in Northampton. You’ll be at the heart of our tri-temperature warehouse operations, helping to optimise efficiency through smart planning and data-driven decisions. You’ll support the Planning Manager and work closely with team managers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position. You’ll be working ‘any 5 from 7’, on rotating shift patterns 06:00 till 14:00 and 10:00 till 18:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £29,000 per annum and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Managing daily planning tasks including shift patterns, holidays, and absences
  • Producing and distributing essential paperwork to support operational accuracy
  • Acting as a key liaison between managers and the Planning Manager
  • Identifying risks in site plans and resolving them proactively
  • Handling agency bookings and resource allocations
  • Presenting data and insights to support planning decisions

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience in logistics or warehouse operations (tri-temp experience in a plus!)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
  • Confidence using Excel and other Microsoft Office tools (Power BI is a bonus)
  • Great communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with a desire to grow and develop
