Warehouse First Line Manager

We’re looking for a Warehouse First Line Manager to join us at our Halfords contract, at our site in Crick, Northampton. You’ll be responsible for the efficient running of the warehouse shift, ensuring optimum use of resources to deliver 1st class customer service, whilst taking a proactive approach to enhancing employee engagement and their development whilst driving forward a culture of continuous improvement.
This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working a Sunday to Thursday rotating shift of, 05:30 to 14:00 and 13:30 to 22:00.

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £30,363.89 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Take full operational responsibility for the day to day running of the warehouse on your shift (through FLM’s and Team Leaders), you’ll lead, motivate and develop your team to achieve challenging targets
- Create and maintain a positive team culture, by actively encouraging involvement from all, to improve employee engagement
- Identify cost saving initiatives and implement corrective actions where appropriate to maximise the efficiency of the warehouse operation
- With good understanding of Health & Safety you’ll strive to make sure all operational processes are fully compliant with our policies, while accurately identifying risks and escalating your findings

- A proven track record at a similar level, within a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation
- Excellent people skills - the ability to effectively lead, develop and manage a team, whilst identifying areas for development and recognising success
