Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Manager (Nights) to join our team in Northampton, supporting our customer Sainsbury’s. This is a multi-temperature environment covering ambient, produce and chill chambers. You will be responsible for managing and leading your own team helping to coach, motivate and engage them to create a great team culture with a strong work ethic.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 nights from 7, 22:00 – 06:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • To lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs
  • Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
  • Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement
  • Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
  • Management of the warehouse training requirement and function

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation)
  • The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
