Warehouse Operations Manager

Here at GXO, we are currently on the lookout for a Warehouse Operations Manager to join our Costa Coffee team in Wellingborough. You will drive “best in class” service whilst ensuring an efficient warehouse operation. You will be people focused and strive to maintain and develop your team whilst having a strong customer relationship.

We’re looking to offer a salary range of between £58,000.00 to £68,000.00 dependent on experience and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Plan and control all warehouse activities to ensure client service KPI’s are achieved
  • Control of operational costs in accordance with agreed budgets
  • Recruitment, training, discipline, development and deployment of staff.
  • Provision of adequate levels of supervision, guidance, communication and opportunities for staff involvement
  • Through effective leadership and clearly defined processes, ensure an operationally robust programme for building ’world-class’ health and safety standards, including Food and Hygiene and HSE requirements
  • Comply with NSF/BRCGS standards
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service throughout all areas of responsibility
  • The control of goods receipt, replenishment, stock control operations and associated administration

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Good working knowledge of known WMS systems, including voice-pick
  • Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills, very people-focussed
  • A track record of service improvements through cultural change/staff development 
  • Experience in warehouse management, from either Food, Retail or FMCG environments with experience of working in multi-temperature environments is highly desirable
  • Experience in warehouse management utilising cage/tote pick distribution methods
  • Significant budgetary and labour control
  • A track record of service improvements through cultural change/staff development with experience of rapidly and successfully integrating new customer demands
