Transport and Sub Contraction Planner

Here at GXO, join our team in Nottingham as our Transport and Sub Contraction Planner. You will be responsible for business-critical services including storage, handling and distribution; high volume E-Fulfilment; two-person home delivery; fleet and transport management; and network optimisation for many of the UK's best-known companies. 

 

This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday rotating between 07:30 – 1730 Contracted hours of 40 hours per week.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Ensures all assets are utilised in line with KPI targets
  • Ensures that service is delivered through proactive and accurate planning of loads
  • Drives margin by fully utilizing TMS functionality and then enhancing results through proactively sourcing further backhaul opportunities to maximise fleet utilisation
  • Ensure service levels are delivered through working collaboratively with the Sub Con operation to maximise the overall service delivery KPI for customers
  • Maintains a high data accuracy in the TMS for all fleet planning activities, avoiding retrospective administration

 

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Industrious and busy individual with an affinity for a time pressurised environment
  • Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and via systems
  • Experience of freight forwarding or transport planning operations essential, ideally in a network planning environment
  • Systems user, comfortable with modern digital systems and the application of data combined with general large fleet operation experience
