As Health and Safety Advisor in our shared-user customer site in Nuneaton, you’ll lead and manage all aspect of health and safety within our depot. Focusing on best-in-class delivery of compliance, legal standards and promoting a safe working environment and ensuring operational integrity. 

This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, between 08:00 till 17:00. We do require flexibility on some occasions; this is logistics after all.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £32,000.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager, you will develop and impose H&S policies, conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations, deliver training, and liaise with external/internal stakeholders
• Facilities management, with overseeing maintenance of warehouse infrastructure/cleanliness and security, managing contractor relationships and coordinating repairs and improvement projects
• Compliance and reporting, tracking progress through legal compliance, colleague engagement and preparing safety and facility reports, whilst also supporting with audits and inspections
• Lead, engage and develop direct report (front desk administrator)
• Lead and present site inductions

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience in an operationally focused, Health and Safety role
• Essential qualification NEBOSH general certification
• Strong working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislative framework
• Excellent communication and strong working relationships skills with stakeholders at all levels, with a mindset to achieve results through success-driven approaches, focusing on identifying and sharing best practice
