What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Facilitate classroom-based and virtual training programs in an engaging manner and able to relate classroom materials to real-world situations. Training programs may include, but not limited to:
- New Hire Orientation
- HR training
- Safety and Security training
- HAZMAT/DG certification trainings
- Inventory Control
- GXOS Foundational
- PIT certification trainings and certify PIT Operators
- Leadership trainings for site operational management
- Operational Processes and WMS training
- Conduct on-the-job functional training as well as performance measurement.
- Gather and document metrics related to training, such as attendance and feedback; document lessons learned to incorporate into future training efforts
- Provide remedial training and coaching as needed to ensure ongoing competency and effectiveness
- Provide train-the-trainer support for field training team.
- Provide assistance to the L&D manager on start-up implementation learning analysis and learning strategies.
- Provide assistance to the L&D manager to edit and update training content and support materials that are readily accessible to learners, including job aids, classroom training documents, etc
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 5 years of experience in facilitation or delivery of training, preferably in a corporate environment
- Demonstrated track record of introducing and driving training delivery excellence that lead to tangible and measurable results
- Knowledge of learning principles and methods for designing training programs and curricula, instructing individuals and groups, media-based learning and measuring training effectiveness
- Effective use of and experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Availability to travel up to 25% - 50% of the time
It’d be great if you also have:
- Facilitation certification
- PIT Trainer certification
- Hazmat/DG Trainer certification
- Experience with Cornerstone LMS
- Solid research and problem-solving skills
- Ability to motivate change and get results in a very large, dispersed organization
