Class 1 Driver
We are looking for experienced and reliable Class 1 Drivers to join our dedicated transport team supporting the Shepherd Neame distribution contract, based in Purfleet. This is a great opportunity to join a well‑established operation, working with one of Britain’s oldest and most respected breweries.
As a Class 1 Driver, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to pubs, retailers, and regional distribution centres. Professionalism, excellent customer service and safe driving skills are essential.
This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday. Your start time will fall within two hours either side of 6:00am

What you will do on a typical day:
- Drive Dray vehicles, delivering alcoholic and soft drinks to pubs and social venues on behalf of Shepherd Neame
- Safely and efficiently deliver kegs, casks, packaged products and related goods
- Ensure all loads are secure and complete thorough pre‑ and post‑vehicle checks
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Provide exceptional customer service at every delivery point
- Accurately complete all required documentation and submit it promptly
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- A valid Class 1 Driving license, CPC and Digi tacho card
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no TT, IN, DD, DR, or DG endorsements)
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to driving regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work on your initiative
