As the Senior Manager, Solution Design, you will drive the functional design of a Warehouse Management Systems in support of Operational efficiencies. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Plan and lead business process requirements workshop & discussions with customer
- Lead solution and design workshops around WMS suite and author Functional Solution Design Specification
- Define Warehouse process flow
- Lead Pre-Sales activities including RFP / RFI responses and providing response solution to the customers
- Interact with business users, client managers, specialists to understand the requirements and problem statements.
- Architect an end state integrated solution to meet business and functional requirements
- Provide process optimization and improvement proposals based on business requirements
- Manage both business and IT client stakeholders, including managing to Director level and above
- Articulate and present different points of view to different audiences
- Troubleshoot, resolve and escalate issues quickly and effectively
- Assist with ongoing continuous improvement activities and solicit feedback on RFP and commercial sales process
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 7 years of experience in IT, Supply chain Management, logistics, engineering or operations
- Knowledge of IT and supply chain management, including warehouse management systems, system design techniques, engineering design processes, system integration technologies and enterprise resource planning systems
- Design, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Project Management skills with ability to work creatively and lead cross functional teams
It’d be great if you also have:
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Excellent attention to detail; quick learner with creative problem-solving and analytical skills
- Solid documentation skills, including business requirements, scope definition, cost and value propositions
- Advanced excel skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
