What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Prepare analyses to determine pricing and financial summaries for new business opportunities, contract renewals and re-pricing requirements for current clients
  • Perform detailed cost and revenue analysis based on input from several departments including Sales, Engineering, Operations, IT etc.
  • Prepare cost accounting analysis, capital recovery, and wage increase analysis, real estate analysis, pricing bridges (proposed vs existing) on new and existing accounts for senior management
  • Assist in preparing pricing proposal deliverables to submit to current and prospective clients
  • Review financial summaries for projects and provide guidance on acceptable financial metrics and pricing strategies
  • Interpret research output for sales presentations to buyers; assist Sales team with negotiation preparation
  • Conduct analyses under different pricing scenarios to compare net results
  • Work creatively with Pricing team leadership to establish and implement a pricing strategy and tactical plan
  • Work within the Pricing team on development and enhancement of pricing models; update the models with recent financial and productivity metrics, and ensure the model formulas are error free
  • Assist in development and implementation around new processes related to pricing models, pricing proposals, and team workflows

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 4 years of professional experience in quantitative analysis and/or cost accounting
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with data mining using business intelligence software
  • Experience with SQL and statistical packages

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics or Finance
  • Availability to travel occasionally
  • 3 years of finance or supply chain experience
  • Knowledge of various functional areas including operations, marketing, sales, pricing, project management, human resources, and IT
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
