The Senior Program Manager, Learning and Development, plays a pivotal role in shaping our workforce by designing and executing impactful training and development programs aligned with our logistics operations. This role partners with cross-functional leaders to build scalable learning solutions that support career growth, leadership development, and continuous improvement.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Design and implement training curricula that align with 3PL operational goals and workforce development strategies.
  • Collaborate with operations, HR, and site leadership to assess training needs and deliver targeted learning solutions.
  • Lead high-visibility programs such as Site Leader Academy and Graduate/Intern initiatives to build leadership pipelines.
  • Evaluate and recommend learning technologies, platforms, and vendors to enhance training delivery and engagement.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing based on business impact, strategic alignment, and stakeholder input.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators, learning outcomes, and program effectiveness to drive continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate workshops and learning sessions that support talent development, change management, and organizational capability.
  • Champion process improvement initiatives that streamline training operations and eliminate inefficiencies.

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Organizational Psychology, Education, or a related field
  • (or equivalent work/military experience; logistics experience may substitute for education)
  • 3–5 years of experience in corporate training
  • 2 years of experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Project management experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time

 

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience with Cornerstone LMS or similar platforms
  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, IO Psychology, or Human Resources
  • Professional certifications, such as:
    • Associate or Certified Professional in Talent Development (ATD/CPTD)
    • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP
  • Experience in the transportation/freight operations or logistics industry
  • Strong awareness of trends, techniques, and technologies in the training and development space
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask effectively
