We are looking for proven & results-driven IT leaders to help fuel this growth. The Information Technology Project Manager will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of the assigned projects. The IT Project Manager will develop comprehensive and executable plans to drive delivery and to provide senior leadership and other stakeholders with visibility to status and risks of assigned projects.

What you'll do on a typical day
- Overall: Develop detailed and executable plans with identifiable critical path, task dependencies, risk and issue mitigation processes, and major milestones; manage the approved plans and schedules, ensuring successful completion within scope, budget, time, and quality parameters.
- Drive Process: Determine and manage tasks, issues, risks, and action items across multiple projects and dynamic priorities. Support the team in addressing and eliminating impediments to improve the likelihood of achieving the objectives of the projects.
- Communication: Build strong relationships with senior leadership through effective communication and leverage the relationships to collaborate through the life of the project. Develop presentations to communicate plans, status and risks to senior leaders, clients, and other stakeholders. Plan and organize demos and product/system testing. Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders. Communicate across teams to improve planning and prevent disruptions.
- Process/Tools: Use Smartsheet to create project plans. Use Power BI reporting to monitor budget and actuals. Use Jira to facilitate and support all development deliverables.
- Metrics and Analysis: Track project processes, deliverables, and financials. Escalate negative deviation to budget and proactively initiate change requests.
- Professional Development: Increase the quality of projects by contributing to IT PMO continuous improvement efforts.
What you need to succeed at GXO
At a minimum, you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.
- 3+ years of IT experience in Project Management.
- Must have strong analytical skills and can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills – ability to adjust to various audiences across business units and client organization.
It'd be great if you also have
- PMP Certified.
- 5+ years of IT experience in Project Management within a large matrixed organization ($20B +).
- 1+ years of experience using Jira for project and issue tracking.
- Solid communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
- Must be a team player and be able to adjust to a dynamic working environment.
- Experienced facilitator able to apply various techniques to ensure effective meetings, both co-located and distributed.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Self-motivated and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction.
- Evidence of Project Plan(s) over 3000 hours adhering to 4/40 or 8/80 rule.
