The Vice President, Technology Implementations and Engineering will define and drive the strategic direction, development, and execution of all logistics product-related activities within the company, ensuring alignment with the logistics product roadmap, business objectives and market demands. Reporting directly to the Regional Information Technology (IT) Leader, this role will be highly visible and working closely with the Regional Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and other global executives to drive the IT deliverables. This role requires a forward-thinking leader with a strong background in technology and a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain operations. The role will work cross functional with regional, commercial & IT teams to drive innovation, improve product offerings, and drive profitable, scalable solutions that meet and exceed the evolving needs of our customers and position GXO as a market leader in the industry.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Partner with sales, operations, IT, and regional teams to design and build go-to-market strategies. Support successful implementations and build trust and partnerships globally across functions. Engage with customers to understand their needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle from concept to launch. Ensure projects meet customer needs with continuous feedback and improvements. Collaborate with sales, engineering, IT, and operations to deliver high-quality, modular, scalable, and repeatable projects on time and on budget. Provide implementation support for both internal customers and commercial roles.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and experimentation. Keep up to date with industry trends and drive cutting-edge solutions.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKR’s) to measure the success of products. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimize solutions and product performance.
  • Build, develop and lead a high-performing management team. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members to enable excellence, accountability, and a strong product culture to support business objectives.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in global, technology and logistics blue chip organizations
  • At least 5 years in an executive leadership leading large and disperse teams (50+ exempt employees)
  • Proven experience leading product development & IT delivery
  • Deep understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and technology integration.
  • Logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing operational experience 

It’d be great if you also have:

  • MBA
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to attract, inspire, motivate, and build high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate business needs into product solutions.
  • Deep understanding of product lifecycle management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
  • Proven track record of working cross-functionally and cross-regionally at an executive level, as well as ability to roll-up the sleeves & be hands-on.
  • Dynamic problem solver, solid analytical skills, comfortable challenging assumptions and offering solutions/making decisions with currently available information.
  • Strong collaboration and matrixed-management skills
