The Vice President, Corporate Systems is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational excellence of enterprise-wide corporate technology platforms, including Finance, HR, Sales, Legal, and Procurement systems. This role ensures that technology solutions align with business objectives, drive efficiency, and support global scalability.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

General responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Build, define and execute the global roadmap for Corporate Systems for each one of the functions that support.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to align technology investments with organizational priorities.

Enterprise Platforms Management

  • Oversee global ERP systems
  • Oversees HR technology platforms and ensure seamless integration with other payroll and talent systems.
  • Govern Legal and Compliance systems, including contract lifecycle management tools.

Architecture & Integration

  • Define and maintain the Corporate Systems architecture roadmap, ensuring interoperability across different functional and regional domains.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and cloud/AI-first principles.

Data & Analytics

  • Implement robust data governance for corporate systems, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance with GDPR and SOX.
  • Enable advanced reporting and analytics capabilities using BI tools integrated with ERP and HR systems.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure systems adhere to cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with InfoSec to implement identity and access management and role-based security controls.

Innovation & Transformation

  • Lead digital transformation initiatives within Corporate Systems, including automation (RPA), AI-driven analytics, and process optimization.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors to enhance system capabilities and user experience.

Vendor & Service Management

  • Manage strategic partnerships with major technology providers (SAP, Oracle, IBM, Infosys).
  • Oversee managed services agreements and ensure SLAs are met for system performance and support.

Governance & Compliance:

  • Lead governance forums for Corporate Systems, ensuring adherence to security, compliance, and data privacy standards.
  • Oversee vendor management and contract negotiations for major platforms (SAP, Oracle, IBM, Infosys).

Operational Excellence:

  • Drive system optimization, upgrades, and integration across global regions.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of critical corporate applications.

Team Leadership:

  • Builds a high performing team
  • Manage a global team of directors and managers responsible for Corporate Systems delivery.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Own the Corporate Systems budget, including forecasting and cost optimization.
  • Ensure effective utilization of managed services and third-party providers.

 

What you need to succeed at GXO: 

Experience:

  • Proven executive leadership experience in leading large-scale corporate systems and applications functions in a global organization
  • Expertise in ERP platforms, and key functional systems (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce)
  • Transformational experience by bringing in new systems, tools and operating models (i.e. offshoring, nearshoring)
  • Strong experience of IT global governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management experience, building high performing teams
  • Engineer/Technology background preferred

Education

  • MBA / Post-graduate (preferable)
