Systems & Data Analyst

Here at GXO, we’re recruiting for a Systems & Data Analyst to support our JD Sports & Fashion contract in Rochdale. This is a full‑time, permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week Mon-Fri (flexibility required as some weekends you may be required to work). A hybrid working model can be taken in consideration. You’ll play a key role in developing systems, dashboards and data insight to support transport and operational performance across the contract.

You’ll receive a salary of between £30,000 and £33,000 per annum depending on experience, alongside a competitive benefits package including 33 days annual leave, a company pension scheme, access to employee discounts, and a friendly, safety‑focused working environment. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate requirements into clear, impactful dashboards
- Design, develop and maintain interactive Power BI reports, data models and visualisations
- Analyse complex data sets to identify trends, patterns and insights that support decision making
- Ensure data quality, accuracy and governance through validation and cleansing techniques
Support system implementations, user training and continuous improvement of reporting solutions
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven experience in a data analyst or BI developer role, ideally within logistics or transport
Strong Power BI capability, including Power Query, Power Pivot and DAX - Solid understanding of data modelling concepts, with working knowledge of Excel and SQL
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communication skills, able to explain technical insight to non‑technical stakeholders
