Then we are looking for you as a Site Engineer (Roermond & Wessem)!

 

What you do on a typical day

  • Carry out a variety of tasks related to planning, key user activities and stock control.
  • Apply technical and administrative expertise to assigned tasks.
  • Coordinate people and resources across different teams and understand how they support each other.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse Management Team to implement new strategies and initiatives that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Secure and monitor warehouse processes and adjust when necessary.
  • Ensure a safe work environment and apply safety measures as required.
  • Identify, describe and implement process changes when needed.
  • Participate in day‑start activities with cross‑functional teams.
  • Drive and support Lean, CI, 5S and visual management activities across Roermond and Wessem.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders and their expectations as part of project management responsibilities.
  • Conduct data analysis and support process design to improve operational performance.
  • Train warehouse employees in required departmental processes.
  • Resolve problems and make decisions regarding quality within the assigned department.
  • Measure and report productivity for your functional area.
  • Ensure all error verifications are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain equipment and property, reporting damages immediately.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external parties to support operations, collaboration and problem solving.
  • Work in line with GXO Health & Safety standards and contribute to a safer workplace.
  • Support environmental performance initiatives by reducing resource usage and emissions.
  • Act as a proactive, self‑starter who contributes to continuous improvement every day.

 

What you need to succeed at GXO

  • Minimum education: Intermediate Vocational Education in logistics, supply chain management or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical skills: able to understand, analyse and advise.
  • Experience with Lean / CI / 5S concepts and operational improvement.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders in projects and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Experience operating material‑handling equipment and using an RF gun.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability and ownership.
  • Team‑oriented and committed to tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to deliver strong customer service.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision; proactive, hands‑on and self‑driven.
  • Ability to give clear direction and collaborate with multiple departments.

  • Annual gross salary between €44,520 – €61,212.
