Working as Workforce Coordinator at GXO Logistics - Roermond

 

As Workforce Coordinator you have a crucial role in the process. You are the connecting link between employment agencies and the operation. Based on the combination of the forecast provided by our customer and the current figures from the internal departments, you make the day-, week- and long-term planning. In the event of schedule deviations (no shows, absenteeism), you immediately contact employment agencies and make adjustments where necessary.

 

In addition, you determine the intake requirement (maintenance pool) as well as the development and training needs of Flex workers. You report directly to the Site Manager and dotted line to the Workforce Manager. You work independently but you in close cooperation with various departments like HR, Finance and Operations within our organization.

 

Due to the nature of the role you must have previously worked within the Dutch market understanding laws and legislations.

 

 

What you do on a typical day

  • You have daily operational meetings with employment agencies, Site Managers and the Operational Manager and can ensure the right number of employees are available at the right time
  • You ran monthly and quarterly consultations with employment agencies
  • You manage and monitor KPI’s determined with employment agencies
  • Identity trend, patterns, and gaps in workforce data. You use pivot tables, formulas and macros to analyze the data. You translate the workforce data info actionable insights
  • Predict future staffing needs based on various business factors
  • You keep an overview of all competencies per person (competency metrics in Excel)
  • Seek and implement ways to enhance planning accuracy and efficiency

 

 

What you need to succeed at GXO

  • Previous experience of working within the Dutch market understanding Dutch working laws and legislations 
  • You have the HBO work and thinking level and preferable experience in this role or as worker of an employment agency
  • You have a very accurate and analytical working method, you are communicative and proactive. With your critical and foresighted view, you identify the consequences of certain actions in good time and you think along about solutions.
  • You can deal with dynamics well and you can quickly communicate with involved parties. You can be described as stress resistant and have great problem-solving skills.
  • You can speak and write fluent in English, knowledge of the Polish language is a nice.
  • Preferably you are aware of laws and regulations regarding the planning of FTE (Working Hours Act)
  • Preferably you have knowledge of the WAB (Law on the Balanced Labor Market) and knowledge on collective bargaining agreement for temporary workers
