Contract Manager

Here at GXO, we’re seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Contract Manager to join our multi-customer operation in Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within a growing business, acting as the primary link between our customers and operations teams while ensuring contractual performance, customer satisfaction, and commercial success.

 

Working closely with the General Manager, customers, and cross-functional teams, you’ll be responsible for managing contract performance, customer relationships, service delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives that drive value for the GXO and our customers.

 

This is a full time, permanent position. You will work Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00 or 09:00 till 17:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Act as the primary customer contact, managing contractual relationships and ensuring all service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently achieved.
  • Lead customer reporting requirements, including monthly and quarterly business reviews, stock integrity reporting, and performance analysis
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, HR, and Health & Safety teams to drive operational excellence, contractual compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct annual contract and rate reviews, ensuring commercially beneficial outcomes while maintaining strong customer partnerships
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate contractual and operational risks, resolving issues proactively and ensuring customers receive exceptional service throughout the contract lifecycle

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Proven experience managing customer relationships, contracts, or operational performance within a complex logistics, warehousing, or supply chain environment
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing customers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing performance against SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations, with a focus on service excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with experience using WMS platforms such as SAP, DLX, Duty Manager, or similar systems
  • Contract Management certification or willingness to work towards a professional qualification alongside experience within regulated or compliance-focused environments
