Warehouse Front Desk Admin

We are currently seeking a driven Front Desk Administrator based in our Diageo packaging plant in Runcorn. You’ll be joining our GXO on site admin and management team of 20, working closely with the customer on-site production team, warehouse operations, hauliers and management. This is a great opportunity within a fast paced, constantly changing operation, driven by our customer production plans.

 

This is a part time, permanent position. Working 4 on 4 off Days rota (hours between 6:00 AM to 2.00 PM and 2.00 PM to 10.00 PM). Days will be on a rota of 4 on 4 off between Monday to Sunday.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Site Administration & Document Control: Manage daily stock administration, document control, and ensure compliance with internal processes and standards
  • Operational Support & Coordination: Liaise with warehouse operators work streams and WMS’ to ensure deliveries completed within required times, booking of haulier drivers and preparation of administration and delivery documentation for outbound loads
  • Customer & Department Communication: Build positive relationships with customers and internal teams, maintain effective communication across departments, and respond constructively to requests
  • Stock Integrity & Reporting: Assist in maintaining stock accuracy, manage claims, complete investigations into discrepancies, and produce reports
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to health, safety, fire, and security requirements, promote GXO values, and support customs processes (TSS, Descartes) and monthly stock counts

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Excellent organisational and attention to detail, with strong experience in MS Excel, Word and 365 packages (SAP beneficial)
  • Customer focused, decisive and proactive mindset to approach problems and positive outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal and influencing skills
