Continuous Improvement Manager
Working as a Continuous Improvement Manager at GXO Logistics - Amsterdam
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to lead our process optimization efforts for our site in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, analytical, project management, and presentation skills. This role will involve leading a team of 5 engineers and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
What you do on a typical day
• Lead and mentor a team of 5 engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities through data analysis, root cause analysis, and lean methodologies.
• Develop and manage project plans for improvement initiatives, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
• Create and deliver presentations to stakeholders on improvement initiatives and project progress.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement KPIs to track and measure the success of continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with other departments to implement process changes and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in continuous improvement.
What you need to succeed at GXO
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, or a similar role in a 3PL logistics environment.
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team of engineers or professionals.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret/ analyze data and identify trends.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in lean methodologies, Six Sigma, and other process improvement tools and techniques.
• Experience with logistics software and systems.

Leadership - Ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers.
Project Management - Expertise in managing multiple projects and timelines.
Analytical Skills - Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and solve problems.
Presentation Skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
