Facility Project Manager - Amsterdam

 

Experienced Facility Project Manager within Logistics, Supply Chain, Production, Distribution, or Automotive industry or similar, to work from our site in Amsterdam. There will be regular travel to other sites in The Netherlands.

 

  • Dutch permits knowledge required ensuring compliance with local regulations and permits.
  • Developing project plans, managing budgets, schedules, coordinating with stakeholders, authorities and contractors. Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Essential skills include strong project management, financial oversight, and excellent communication,
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Hybrid working applies

 

Key responsibilities – Facilities Project Manager

  • Oversee all phases of facility projects, including planning, design, execution, and closeout.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures, change orders, and forecasting costs.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Ensure projects comply with all Dutch regulations, permits, and administrative requirements. This includes managing the permit request process with relevant authorities.
  • Act as a central point of contact for all stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, architects, contractors, and authorities.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and service providers, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.

 

Required skills and qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • In-depth understanding of Dutch regulations, building codes, permits, and administrative procedures related to facility projects.
  • Experience in budget management and cost control.
  • Ability to analyse technical requirements, interpret contracts, and solve problems creatively.
  • Experience in project management, with a strong track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Logistics/Supply Chain/Distribution/Production/Automotive background or similar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English.
