Logistics at full potential
We are recruiting a Regional Manager - EMEA region, this role will be based in Ghlin, Belgium, covering 4 of our customer warehouses in Finland, UK, Ireland and Belgium. Our customer is a leading technology brand, so exposure to this industry is preferred.
As Regional Manager – EMEA you will be reporting into the Managing Director. 50% of the role is a very strategic related.
- Full P&L of the sites
- Contract Management
- Leading a team of 4 direct reports
- Ensuring overall performance of the sites taking accountability
- Extensive customer engagement and leadership
- Travel is required for this role
- Able to work in a diverse environment and exposure to an international working environment and familiar with 3PL management
What You Do on a Typical Day
The Regional Manager - EMEA will ensure that the business development and overall performance at multiple sites are effective. You will be responsible for communicating the vision for the business while creating a highly engaged, motivated team to execute the strategic business plan.
- Implement and maintain operational processes and procedures, report on performance and initiating improvements for operations.
- Establish and meet site objectives in the areas of financial performance, safety, quality and customer service in compliance with all applicable internal and external policies.
- Provide accurate and timely submission of key quality, financial and safety reports.
- Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively; take corrective action as necessary in accordance with company polices.
- Coordinate site(s) activities through planning with departmental directors, managers and supervisors to ensure objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Provide direction, development and leadership to Directors, Managers and Supervisors.
- Consciously dealing with the reduction of environmental impact in terms of waste, energy, water and fuel consumption.
- Open to extensive travel as or when required
What do you need to succeed at GXO?
- Master’s degree, e.g. in logistics, engineering, operations management, supply chain management or business administration.
- Minimum Required Experience: 10+ years of Sales/ Operations experience; experience managing large projects with multiple stakeholders and familiar with 3PL management
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English, French would be beneficial.
- Previous exposure to a diverse and international working environment
- Strong financial awareness and full understanding of P&L and budgets.
