Inventory Champion

Here at GXO, we are looking for an Inventory Champion to join our team in Selby. You will support the Inventory Team Leader in the day-to-day running of the shift, ensuring accurate stock management and maintaining compliance with Standard Operating Procedures at all times.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position working 40.25 hours per week on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern. Shifts are available on either:

 

  • Days: 06:00 – 18:00
  • Nights: 18:00 – 06:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Maintain accurate stock management and inventory control, including PI cycle counting and investigation of stock discrepancies, queries, and damages
  • Produce and maintain accurate stock reports while ensuring data integrity across all inventory systems
  • Achieve agreed productivity and performance targets while working efficiently and accurately to meet operational requirements
  • Adhere to all operational, Health & Safety, site, and company policies, reporting any instances of non-compliance to management
  • Support the wider team through effective communication, operation of required IT systems, and completion of tasks as directed by the Team Leader or Shift Manager

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous warehouse experience and experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Good computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
