Warehouse Shift Manager

We are looking for a Warehouse Shift Manager to join our M&S site in Thorncliffe. You’ll support operational leaders with oversight of the team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that all activity is completed in a timely and accurate manner, consistently achieving departmental KPI’s.
This is a full-time, permanent position, where you’ll be working an ‘any 5 from 7’ rotating shift pattern, and your hours of work will rotate weekly between 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00. However, you will need to be flexible on occasion – this is logistics, after all!

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Oversee the day to day running of the warehouse in your area, you’ll lead, motivate, and develop your team to achieve targets, whilst managing under / over capacity of work areas

Lead on all people processes including welfare, performance, KPI management, T&A, coaching, recruitment & selection, appraisals, and talent

Pro-actively support the site and customer’s continuous improvement initiatives, acting as an advocate on site for cultural change

With good understanding of Health & Safety you’ll strive to make sure all operational processes are fully compliant with our policies, while accurately identifying risks and escalating your findings

A proven track record at a similar level, within a fast-paced warehouse environment

The ability to effectively lead, develop and motivate a team, including deployment to meet changing priorities

Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills

Ability to interpret operational data with a good knowledge of KPIs
