Warehouse Shift Manager

We are looking for a Warehouse Shift Manager to join our M&S site in Thorncliffe, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering operational excellence across our warehouse operations. In this role, you will lead and develop your team to drive efficiency, quality and cost performance, ensuring all activities are executed to the highest standards. You will take ownership of processes, facilities and best practice deployment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement while maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position, where you’ll be working ‘any 4 from 7’ working 05:00 to 15:00 or 12:00 to 22:00.

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £45,000 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Lead warehouse operations as a Shift Manager, driving performance, safety, and efficiency
  • Ensure full H&S compliance while promoting a strong, safety-first culture
  • Manage, develop, and motivate teams to achieve KPIs and deliver excellent service
  • Oversee planning, productivity, and customer relationships to exceed expectations
  • Drive continuous improvement, control costs, and create a positive, high-performing environment

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a people-focused approach
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive performance results
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and manage change
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse management/reporting systems
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and flexible with a strong problem-solving and ownership mindset
