Here at GXO, we are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team in Sherburn in Elmet.  Supporting a new contract, you will assist and support the management team to achieve and meet both the customer’s and operations expectations while ensuring colleagues are meeting all Health and Safety requirements.

 

This is a fixed term, full-time position for a duration of 6 months, working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 07:00 – 19:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Lead a team of warehouse operatives, co-ordinating their activities to meet set objectives
  • Ensure that training and development requirements for Warehouse Operatives are regularly carried out and support is provided where needed
  • Monitor and motivate performance of direct reports, promoting a good team spirit
  • Manage the initial stages of colleague welfare and ensure all colleagues are treated fairly

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous supervisory experience within a similar environment is desirable
  • Experience conducting disciplinary, grievance, and accident investigations
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • A committed and flexible approach to work
