Team Leader

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team our Telford site, supporting an exciting project for our customer RBSL. In this role, you’ll lead a team of Multitask Operatives to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient warehouse operations, from inbound and outbound activity to inventory management and order fulfilment.
This is a full-time permanent position. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, on rotating shifts covering the hours of 06:00 till 14:00 and 14:00 till 22:00. However, some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £30,576 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). A company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and death in service
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead and motivate a team of Multitask Operatives to deliver daily warehouse operations.
- Distribute workloads effectively to maximise productivity and meet deadlines.
- Be a visible presence on the warehouse floor, leading by example with a safety-first approach.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to resolve issues and ensure seamless operations.
- Drive continuous improvement by reviewing processes and implementing efficiency strategies.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a warehouse or similar environment
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Basic MS Office skills and confidence using warehouse systems
- Willingness to undertake training for safety roles (e.g., Fire Marshal, Incident Controller)
- Security clearance eligibility and flexibility to work varied hours when required
