Here at GXO Southampton we are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our team, supporting our customer, B&Q. From receiving and storing products to picking, packing, and dispatching orders you will be involved in all aspects of our warehouse operations.

 

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an ‘any 5 days out of 7’ pattern, covering the hours of 14:00 to 00:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Perform a range of warehouse tasks including picking, loading/unloading vehicles, and operating FLT and pallet trucks using RF systems, while adhering to safe manual handling practices
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time, such as returns manifests and daily driver records
  • Ensure operational standards and customer service requirements are met by achieving site KPIs and maintaining high quality performance in all activities
  • Carry out housekeeping where required upholding site standards while following Health & Safety guidelines

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
  • Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new skills while working as part of a team
  • A strong focus on safety and reliability, with flexibility to adapt to changing demands and shift patterns
  • Experience operating MHE or holding valid certificate of competence would be an advantage, but not essential
