Network Lean Specialist
Are you a dynamic and results-driven Lean Specialist looking to lead and embed a culture of Lean across GXO? If you answered Yes, this role could be your next opportunity! The role is initially within our Transport Operation, on the Screwfix contract.
Reporting to the Head of Lean, you will work in close partnership with operational teams and senior stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and foster a mindset of continuous improvement at all levels. This role is critical to building a culture of lean and continuous improvement, delivering measurable and sustainable results.
The role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis. Day shift pattern Monday to Friday; 08:00 – 16:00 with flexibility required. This is a network role so travel to our other sites will be required.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £65,000 DOE, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
- Support the development and integration of the Lean strategy across the business through a defined roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of key projects.
- Partner with site leaders to identify and deliver improvement opportunities.
- Lead strategic initiatives, DMAIC projects, workshops, and training sessions focused on improving Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery & People (SQCDP), engaging teams to deliver sustainable change.
- Leverage data-driven insights to shape strategic decisions and business cases and ensure financial accountability for all improvement initiatives, tracking progress against defined targets.
- Champion the deployment of the 8 Principles of Operational Excellence across the network, positioning GXO Screwfix as a leader in best practice.
- Through hands-on coaching and mentoring, drive the building of Lean capability within the Lean team and across the wider network, creating a sustainable cohort of Lean Champions.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- A successful track record of implementing Lean / Continuous Improvement in supply chain, head office, and service environments and ideally in Transport / Logistics.
- Proven experience in leading and coaching teams, with a strong ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and drive engagement.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and present data visually to support business cases and track improvements.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (or equivalent) is desirable.
