Carrier Services Team Leader

We are currently seeking a Team Leader with strong data analytics focus to lead our Carrier Team. This role combines hands on leadership and daily team management with ownership of carrier performance reporting and operational analysis to drive service improvement, cost control and carrier performance across the logistics network.
This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday – Friday, covering the hours of 8am to 4pm. However, we do ask for some flexibility, this is logistics after all.

You’ll be paid a salary up to £35,000 depending on experience and receive 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Use data-driven insights to monitor and enhance carrier performance
- Take ownership of service delivery, proactively identifying and escalating risks or issues
- Effectively manage and prioritise workload to meet operational demands
- Drive root cause analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Produce clear, accurate, and actionable performance reports
- Communicate confidently with both internal stakeholders and external carrier partners
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven first-line leadership experience
- Strong analytical capability with confidence using Excel and performance reporting tools
- Knowledge of carrier networks and carrier operations
- Good understanding of logistics operational processes, including transport and warehousing
- Ability to clearly present data, influence stakeholders, and drive action
