Operations Support Manager

Here at GXO, we’re currently looking for an Operations Support Manager to join our successful Screwfix contract at our automated, 24/7 unionised e-fulfilment site in Stoke on Trent (Trentham), that delivers a next day promise to our end customers!
This is a full-time, permanent position, where you’ll be working Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £55,000 DOE, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
- Reporting to the General Manager, you will also deputise for the site Assistant General Manager as required
- Working alongside, supporting and challenging operations and cross-functional peers appropriately
- You will play an active role in driving and maintaining a high-performance culture across the site
- Proactively participate in driving a continuous improvement programme to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Demonstrate a bold, engaging, curious leadership style; encouraging, developing and inspiring the people around you
- You will exemplify the GXO values: be safe; be inclusive; make an impact; change the game; deliver results
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience in e-fulfilment and automated sites would be advantageous
- Experienced in high-volume fast-paced large sites
- Be a proven effective communicator, able to influence at all levels, and possess strong people skills
- Have the energy, determination, and commitment to operate in an environment where regular customer contact and scrutiny is the norm and effective customer communication is essential
- Have experience of delivering successful transformation
- Demonstrate your ability to deliver high performance through a culture of accountability and ownership
- You will have strong planning and analytical skills
