Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Trainer to join our team supporting our Screwfix contract in Trentham, Stoke. The successful candidate will report to the training manager and ensure the best in class HSE performance is achieved within the operation and that a culture of safety is embedded in everything that we do.

 

This is a full time, temporary position for a period of 9 months, predominately working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 07:00am to 15:00pm. However, we do ask for some flexibility, this is logistics after all.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £27,040 and receive 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Embed and live the culture of the site and actively participate in developing an open/ honest environment 
  • Develop, review and deliver SSOW training and undertake direct training of colleagues
  • Proactively undertake training analysis seeking improvements in process and methods of operating
  • Design and develop appropriate training and supporting materials and measuring their continued effectiveness and whether they are fit for purpose
  • Ensure all working procedures maintain legal compliance and are clearly defined and cascaded, with regular reviews to ensure effectiveness
  • Ensure all resources are available for training to take place and give feedback on any identified problems in the training content and/ or process
  • Review and adjust training methods as appropriate and effectively communicate to all stakeholders surrounding training requirements

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Currently or be willing to train to become a Manual Handling Trainer
  • Have excellent team building and motivational skills and have working knowledge of the interaction between their own department and other key functions
  • Have good organisational skills and the ability to manage own time with good written and verbal communication skills and well-developed presentation skills
  • Be confident and competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to build rapport rapidly and effectively with both internal and external customers
