Warehouse Operative
Are you dependable, hardworking and ready to take on an exciting new role? We’re hiring for Warehouse Operative on night shift position on the AkzoNobel contract in Stowmarket, where safety, teamwork and efficiency come first.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 42.5 hours per week on night shift, Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 22:00 to 06:30. Please note that this role is fixed term, running until 31st July 2026.

What you will do on a typical day:
- Receive, check and correctly store incoming stock while ensuring all documentation (e.g., pick sheets, receipts) is completed accurately
- Pick paint orders precisely, wrap pallets, label goods and prepare them for dispatch with a high standard of quality
- Support the safe and efficient loading and unloading of multiple vehicles using powered pallet trucks (PPT) and manual handling techniques
- Operate forklifts (FLT) and PPTs for stock replenishment and putaway, while maintaining smooth warehouse flow
- Keep the warehouse clean and organised, following strict health and safety procedures at all times
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is helpful and FLT or reach truck experience is a bonus — but full training will be provided if needed
- Good attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety standards
- Reliable with good timekeeping
