Stock Shift Manager

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Stock Shift Manager to lead our inventory operations in our Swadlincote. You’ll manage the Stock department effectively by maintaining accurate stock levels and providing timely, reliable stock information to support the business and warehouse operations.

This is a full-time position, permanent position there you’ll be working ‘any 5 out of 7’, covering the hours of 09:30 till 18:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Manage all aspects of the customers stock from receipt through to point of despatch
  • Plan organise and lead regular internal and external stock audits
  • Manage the most efficient flow of all types of merchandise through varying storage locations including the identification of the most appropriate storage media
  • Provide support to the Contact Manager on all stock matters relating to the contract 
  • Collaborate with GXO and customer stakeholders on capacity forecasts

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and WMS systems
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive under pressure
