Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Lead Driver Trainer to join our team in Swindon supporting our customer, Iceland Foods. As Lead Driver Trainer you will be responsible for the running of the day to day training operation, ensuring the Training Team are managed on performance while tracking the driver population to ensure deadlines around training are met.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday – Friday, 07:30 – 15:30 with some flexibility needed, this is logistics after all!

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Ensuring the training calendar is fully populated each week and executed in line with or as close to the original plan
  • Monitor the flow of unit availability to ensure vehicles are avaliable when planned training needs and have been circulated in
  • Working with the Compliance and QHSE Teams to ensure drivers are fully compliance with legal and company requirements
  • Working on self and team initiatives while introducing new ways of working to improve the engagement on site

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience in a Driver Trainer or Lead will be advantageous
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing needs when required
  • Open communicator at all levels
