Senior Operations Manager

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager to join our team in Tamworth, supporting our customer Premier Foods. As a Senior Operations Manager you will be responsible for effective management of all aspects of the operation such as budgetary targets are met, stock accuracy and product avalibaility are in line with customer requirements while health and safety are kept to the highest standards.
This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £58,434.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Day to day management of the operation, fully understanding the impact of the inbound or outbound process across all areas of the fulfilment centre
- Conduct regular reviews of training plans and SOPs to ensure they are fit for purpose and any refresher training is identified and planned for
- Lead, coach and develop the operations team; responsible for all people processes during the lifecycle of an employee
- Work with the Senior Leadership Team and customer to identify priority areas in the business and work effectively to improve on a priority basis
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Demonstrated experience of building strong working relationships with both internal and external customers and colleagues
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities as required
- Experience of conducting HR investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievance hearings and other formal meetings
- Ability to lead, inspire and motivate a team with a real focus on people
