HR & Payroll Coordinator

Here at GXO, we’re seeking a HR & Payroll Coordinator to join our team. You will help to deliver a first-class payroll and HR service across our sites in Thatcham, Southampton, and Fareham, although your primary base will be Thatcham, travel across our other sites will be required. You will play a key role in supporting the people agenda, coordinating payroll activities, maintaining employee records, and providing professional HR administration support across the business.
This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Manage payroll processes, including time & Attendance systems, ADP payroll, holiday bookings, absence management, and payroll reporting to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment administration, onboarding, contracts of employment, referencing, probation processes, and leaver administration
- Maintain accurate HR records, employee files, trackers, and reports in line with GDPR, audit requirements and company procedures
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on payroll, HR processes, policies, benefits, absence management, and employee queries
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in an HR & Payroll role within a fast-paced environment, including payroll administration and employee lifecycle processes
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and Time & Attendance platforms
- CIPD Level 3 qualified (or working towards) and/or CIPP qualified (or working towards)
- Excellent communication, organisation, and Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
