Transport Administrator

Here at GXO, we’re recruiting a Transport Administrator to join our team in Thatcham, working in partnership with a prestigious, high-performance running footwear and apparel brand.
You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 08:00 to 16:30. This role requires a degree of flexibility as it will require weekend work on an ad-hoc basis.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Process import and export orders and the respective shipping processes with prioritisation of differen shipments
- Plan load configurations to maximise transport unit capacity whilst maintaining consignment integrity and safety
- Arrange despatch based on client routing guidelines, and booking via different carrier/client portals
- Effectively communicate issues within the Traffic Department, Operations and Business Management
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in a transport environment within e-commerce is essential
- Knowledge of transport legislation and European Working Time Directive as well as Tachomaster
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- IT literate, with excellent Word and Excel capabilities
