We are looking for a Site Engineer to think along with the customer and implement logistics solutions. As a Site Engineer, you will be working in a dynamic international work environment. You will be responsible for coming up with efficient and effective logistics solutions for the customer and delivering the associated cost model. You will work closely with colleagues from the Business Support, Quality & Control, Operations and other departments.

 

What you do on a typical day

 

  • Identifying, designing and optimizing logistics processes
  • Identifying automation opportunities
  • Improving the efficiency of the processes
  • Delivering complete and correct cost models and P&L analyses for both tenders and existing operations
  • Providing support for implementation and (re)engineering projects such as layout, procedures, work instructions and providing training
  • Preparing reports

 

What you need to succeed at GXO

 

  • Completed HBO education in logistics and/or process engineering
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Lean Waste and experience with complex logistics processes (mechanization)
  • Excellent command of MS Excel. Knowledge of Minitab or Power BI will be useful in the role. Knowledge of Reflex is a plus.
  • Numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in English, knowledge of Dutch is a plus
