Every start off the day begins with aligning with your manager, shiftleaders and the team leaders. After this you will get up to speed with the current status of the operation. During the day, you are responsible for checking and correcting the process where needed. This means that you are responsible for steering on quality and performance within the Process Controll department. At the end of the day you report the results back to your manager. Together you work out plans to improve your findings on a continuous and sustainable basis. 

As Teamleader Business Support for the process controller department you will have the opportunity to adjust the operation on a moment’s notice and help them achieve the needed targets and goals for that day, but also on the long term.

What you do on a typical day

  • Check and control the warehouse management system (WMS Sap) to help and determine the workflow
  • Coordinate and define daily and weekly transport planning with customer
  • Identify, lead and implement potential projects and changes related to transport management
  • Identifies, designs, and implements systematical routines to support the process
  • Creates systematical clean up tasks and defines prioritization for processing outstanding outbound orders
  • Delivers improvements to optimize the current process
  • Gives feedback on the daily workings of the team to the team leaders and warehouse managers

What you need to succeed at GXO

  • In possession of an HBO diploma preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain Management and/or 4-5 years work experience in a logistics environment.
  • Knowledge of a Warehouse Management System, experience with SAP is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills in English (oral and written)
  • You have the ability to communicate with people from different cultural backgrounds and different organizational levels
  • You are proactive, goal-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills
  • You are disciplined, thorough and reliable
  • You are strong in setting priorities and work well in a changing environment
  • You are able to provide clear overviews and updates of the process and system towards the operational teams, management and the customer
